Childhood malnutrition was widespread in Geneina until our Health & Nutrition program introduced community health education and supplementary feeding.
Community health workers trained by our program now monitor children’s growth and teach mothers about proper nutrition. Malnutrition rates have dropped significantly.
“I learned how to prepare nutritious meals from local foods. My children are healthy now,” says Khadija, a program beneficiary.
