After years of displacement, Ahmed’s family returned to find their home completely destroyed. With no resources to rebuild, they lived in a makeshift shelter exposed to the elements.
Our Early Recovery program provided construction materials, tools, and training. Ahmed and his neighbors worked together to rebuild not just homes, but their community.
“We now have a proper home again. My children can sleep safely. We have our dignity back,” shares Ahmed.
