In the heart of a region suffering from drought and climate change, Amina’s family struggled to make ends meet. Amina, a mother of four, depended on a small plot of land that only produced enough to feed her family for a few months each year.
Through our Food Security and Livelihoods program, Amina received improved seeds, agricultural training, and a water harvesting kit. Today, her farm produces enough food for her family year-round, with surplus to sell at the local market.
“Before the program, we only had food for three months. Now we have food all year, and I can send my children to school,” says Amina with a smile.
